Wang Tong

Wang Tong was born in Jilin Province in Northeast China in 1967. He graduated from Henan University of Art. In 2003 "Reflections of an Age" a book based on his work was published. The author and art critic Li Jiangshu quote from the book " As the skins of old walls have peeled away and earthen houses have collapsed, the slogans and portraits that he photographed have disappear. He has kept for us the traces of a bygone age. In the unfolding of history , thanks to Wang Tong pictures leave us with collective memories of the age of Mao Zedong."
